Ray Bradbury, 1920-2012
I never met the man in person, just through his books. Of his books, ones that stuck with me the most include:
- "The Fog Horn": one of the stories that first turned me on to science fiction
- The Martian Chronicles: broke my heart
- Something Wicked This Way Comes: absolutely awesome, one of the books I try to force on people, to this day
- Dandelion Wine: just plain love it, beyond my understanding why
Fahrenheit 451 I did not enjoy-mostly, I think, because it was required school reading, and I thought the pot of message was too blatant. I should really give it another chance.
