Weekend update
Saturday:
In the morning, yardwork (mostly raking out) and housework (mostly laundry). In the afternoon, alexx_kay's book potlatch at MelvKeep. Never quite reached the size and liveliness of a "party" (at least not before I left), more of an "at-home" with some very nice people and good conversation, often about books. I got away lightly, taking just three of Alexx's; on the other hand, madamebuttery did lend me another four or five to read during my recovery, including the famous Lucy ("Rabbits!") Emmett.
Sunday:
In the morning, folding laundry. In the afternoon, gaming chez K; not enough of the regulars for the regular GURPS, so played a whole bunch of other table games, some of them new to me: Dalmuti (with hats), Kill Dr. Lucky (B won), Bang (D won), Cartagena (I won). Was fun.
Monday morning:
Woke up with the certain conviction that "Bernanke's Hat" would be a great name for a band. Also, L does not like reheated hamburger-and-rice (who would?), but some of his hearing does seem to be coming back, just not in the human voice frequency range.
