all he needs is sixty seconds.
the sky eventually paints itself into a black canvass with small, colorful, shinning dots, ending another tiring day in seoul. lights begin to shine blindingly in the streets. street food stalls are crowded. shops play different songs as people come in and out of them, with paper bags in their hands and smiles on their faces. female university students are talking about window shopping tomorrow after lunch, while the males talk about a new released computer game. people walk briskly on their way home. the train station is crowded with long lines of people buying their tickets. the train has just left, jam-packed.
in a small coffee shop, everything is the opposite. people are at peace, surfing the net while drinking their coffees or frappes, eating desserts, and talking to friends they are with.
with a book in between his elbow and waist, and a tray of his favorite hot mocha coffee and a piece of strawberry cheesecake, sunggyu sits himself comfortably in an empty table near the window where the happenings outside unfold right before his eyes. then he looks briefly at the cashier, a boy taking the order of the guy who was third behind sunggyu a minute ago. his voice echoes in the restaurant, and his smile lights up the already bright place.
god, he’s such a cute and adorable guy! i can look at his smile and listen to his voice all day.
he turns to his book, opening the bookmarked page. he smiles at the sight of his bookmark where the name woohyun is doodled. there’s another name just under it, sungjong, an autograph, perhaps. then he reads the first few lines, but woohyun’s voice distracts him.
sunggyu smiles because friday nights are his favorite. because all it takes him to talk to woohyun is sixty seconds. woohyun, the guy who takes his orders every time. woohyun, the guy who has a smile that’s so heartwarming and a voice that’s always so addicting.
woohyun is so cute when he smiles and it melts sunggyu’s heart.
he wonders if he should get woohyun’s number next friday. he thinks if he can wait until friday.
