Okay, so I spent the weekend at my parent's house. It was my grandmother's birthday so I had to bring the grandson (in her case great grandson) to the festivities. It was as all my family gatherings are. Silly and kind of dull. Anyways...
I was reading the paper this morning as I'm seemingly siezed to do now a days cause, well, I'm getting older and, unfortunatly or fortunatly depends if you're speaking to my mother or not, I'm getting more interested in the world around me. Mostly I go looking for science and tech stories on the internet through space.com or msn.com, but I do like to occasionally read the paper. And I did this morning.
It turns out, much to my shock, people are not HAPPY with our president. Well, actually, this doesn't shock me. The man has good intentions but he's not going about anything correctly. But I DO have one thing to say. People expected him to come into office, wave a magic want and everything will be better. Well, I'm sorry, things don't happen that way on the mortal plain. He has a lot of good ideas and intentions for the country but I'm sorry, this is NOT an ideal world. When you wrestle with beasts such as economics or politics or just PEOPLE in general you do not get the intended results quickly OR efficiently. It's just how it is. Now if he manages to get Congress and the House to ratify and pass a health care bill that DOESN'T tax the hell out of people, I'm all for it. But I'm not holding my breath. There is no reason FOR me to. Politics are run by rich men and women who can't see past their own noses. This is how it is, this is how it will always be. People are people and there's not much to change the human condition. Anyways, enough of that, I just wanted to blather about that for a moment.
So it's raining. But that's good, I like rain. So on that note I'll leave you to your ideas. Oh, and one more thing... black playdough is the freakiest stuff you'll ever see.
