Where was I? And where am I now?
Still grappling with the technology of LJ. I need a mentor - like thebenj - but he's off at work. I am dealing with a headache. I know that a mallet doesn't work. Tried sleep, cold water, massage, DRUGS NEXT!!
Jenn astridthemighty is sick too - great life. I shall take her to the vet later.
But we spent the weekend at Batehaven doing lots of nothing in particular, which is always great value.
The BEST THING was that I took a copy of Good Omens (Terry Pratchett) to read. And my trusty sidekick said "Cool! I have been wanting to read this! Squee!" So she did. Out loud. To me. So I could stay online and sew and fiddle with things and hear the story complete with accents and great expression. Awesome compromise!
Was also able to "read" in the car on the way home.
I am at just raving stage - I am stressing out waiting for an ebay upset to resolve. I was bidding on some concert tickets for my offspring and was outbid on one set, so I bid on some others and that hasn't finished yet.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch... it turns out that I was outbid by a shonky seller bidding herself, and when it seemed she was going to win the item, retracted the last bid leaving me as the top bidder - so yes - have tickets - BUT still high bidder on the other set and also not too thrilled about having been bid up by the first person who did not retract the bids in the middle which artificially raised the price. And do I need two sets of tickets? No wonder I have a headache!
Enough raving - I go - back to ebay and the headache!
