Woodpeckers and Spaniels. And Taxes.
Had a splendid day at work yesterday. Although the weather was grim, I didn't get rained on (always a bonus). And I watched a Greater Spotted Woodpecker doing his thang (which included chasing magpies for some reason). And I threw sticks for two friendly English Springer Spaniels.
I get paid for this! (Well, I get paid for gardening, but hey, it's all part of the day :-))
To balance my fun, I got up today and was so stressed out about the imminent deadline for my first self-employed tax return, I took the day off to sort out my books and paperwork. Guess what? My turnover last year was *just* over the limit, so now instead of three boxes to fill in on the form, it's an expensive trip to find a good accountant.
Sometimes I think it's not worth earning money...
