Brief update

I am excited. As of this morning I have turned in my last major project, thus ending the stress of the semester. I have 2 small papers left to write, which should be finished by the end of the weekend. That leaves the following...
Computers in Education- one in class assignment and turning in my portfolio.
Grammar and Usage- 1 or 2 tests, but the major 108 item test is finished (I got an A and didn't have to take the retest).
Self as a Teacher- term paper turned in! One field experience paper and the final.
Music for the Listener- 2 quizzes, 1 concert report, and the final.
That is it folks!!! I have a solid A in all of my classes, barring a major screw up. I still have yet to miss a class, which might be one of the signs of the apocalypse. For the most part it has been a tremendously positive semester. The only real negative, aside from being miserably poor, is my observation at Male High School.
I did everything I was supposed to do on my end. I contacted the asst. principal and arranged my initial visit. When I got there he forgot I was coming, but his secretary didn't. He quickly gave me a schedule for 3 classes. I said that was fine and asked him if I could observe just one teacher on my subsequent visits, which is what my class calls for. I also pointed out that I have to get them to fill out an evaluation on my visit. He said that was fine and there would be a schedule waiting for me when I made my second visit. He had a prior engagement. I arrived for the second visit, a week later, and it was as if our conversation never took place. Not only did he not schedule me for the whole day, he also scheduled me for 5 different classes, only one of which was English. I got to enjoy a Senior English class, two statistics classes, a Freshman remedial physical science class, and an American History class. Joy. I explained this to my professor, who is very understanding. He is going to call him today. If nothing can be worked out he will allow me to do some observation at Assumption since I have a teacher willing to let me observe. I don't want to cause problems with Male, but I have been very clear and polite. I even provided him with a letter from IUS detailing what they require. Sad. We will find out tomorrow how things go.
