A quick note

I realize that I have not posted anything since the beginning of the semester. Let's just say I have been beyond busy with school and everything going on around it. As of this morning I have officially received a grade in every course I am taking. I am proud to report that I have straight A's. Not only that but it is almost the end of October and I have yet to miss a single class. That includes having two 9am classes. While I consider myself to be intelligent, I have never been a dedicated student. I am a big fan of IUS, the professors, and most definately the program. I love it here! I have changed my focus from Social Studies to English. It will allow me to teach the courses I feel I am more geared towards plus I will be more marketable if for some reason I can not get on at Assumption. I also finished my first observation at St Matthews Elementary. It was a great experience, but I am still sticking with secondary ed. On a somewhat related note I am continuing to help start a speech team here, but I am 99% sure that I will not compete. I judged a college tourney at WKU a couple of weeks ago and it made me appreciate HS speech all the more. HS has an innocence to it. The kids are excited when they do well and appreciate the activity. College competitiors are more like speech robots programmed to perform and collect trophies. It made it lose all of its appeal. I am at peace with that decision. Just so you know I am still me however, I know I could walk back in and kick some ass. I'm just saying...
