Friendship
Friendship is a girl who drives 20 mintues out of the way with a car full of loud teenagers to see a sick friend, just because he asked her to. Friendship is a heart shaped cookie, with soaring hopes of gaining a smile. Friendship is a worried look that crosses faces gathered for a Christmas dinner, because their friend doesn't feel well. Friendship is an e-hug left in an LJ. Friendship is a hug on a cold night and a smile upon your arrival. Friendship is not using someone... Friendship is not a limitation or a goal... friendship is a gift. Friendship is not crystal clear, nor dark and cloudy. Friendship is more than a word, more than the dictionary can define. Friendship is people, friendship is a smile, a hug, and friendship is love. Friendship is give and take, not give or take, but friendship can be blind. Friendship can hurt and it can sting. Friendship can be the best thing in the world, disguised as the worst thing in the world. The biggest thing of all is, friendship is trials. Friends will come around in their own time... it's the fact that you stick with them through it all that makes you a friend. Friendship is a girl who ignored the loss of gas, the complaining people in the back of her car, the date and time of day, the obligation elsewhere, and the cramped conditions of her car, to visit a good friend who needed a smile that only someone else could bring. If only for a second... that smile was worth it. Friendship, no matter how much or how little effort is put into it, is a gift. Gifts are best when given. Friendship is a girl who ignored the fact that her friend didn't allow comments on his post (because he knew everyone would object to what he said ^_^) and went and wrote a big long thing about friendship, scrambling to find words to show how much one friend means to her.
