and omg so huge! I met a number of people that I had only known as abstract ASCII concepts for years... until now. Be very afraid, they’re real! OvO;;
The weather turned out great for fursuiting too. The rains kept the temps in the 60s-70s on Fri and Sat. I stayed at the Marriott, which actually turned out to be a shorter walking distance to the Dealer’s Hall than the Westin, with it’s fancy connected skywalk. The Marriott also put me up in this crazy labyrinthe suite with 14ft ceilings, consisting of a separate living room, bath, bedroom, and a bar suitable for holding a hawk head nicely:
Danced all crazy both nights, screeched at pedestrians and delivered snacks to unsuspecting artists in the Dealers hall, not a few of which seemed wary of hawks bearing Ghiradelli sampler boxes from San Francisco. ^v^
AC also provided a wonderfully unexpected distraction from my recent bad luck streak with friends. Five people that I've known and admired for years, both online and IRL, have drifted away within recent months, distracted by new jobs overseas, new loves, a death in the family. All part of life of course, but really tough to bear when they all hit at once.
On Satyrday I managed to get tangled up in an epic rooftop battle, between warring factions of the ‘Clan of the Clockwork Creature’:

Afterwards, we all went out for dinner and drinks, where I discovered what an incredibly diverse and interesting
crew of folks were behind and inside these wild creatures... Most of us had never met before, but it felt as if we had known each other for years!
I'm still not quite back to reality yet, the ethereal nature of what I experienced still floating freely through my consciousness, laughing at any attempt to rationalize it.
