I'm home in northern VA visiting my parents for the holidays. Thanksgiving was too hard on me so I decided to spend the money and come to VA on Dec 28th My sense of time is so jet lagged right now. I wake up at noon and can't go to bed until 3am. I WANT to wake up earlier, especially so I can see my Dad before he goes to work, but if I get up at 9am VA time that is like getting up at 4am in Hawaii and my body is just not used to that yet.
I got a gift certificate to one of my favorite restaurants from my parents for Christmas so I'm taking my friend Kamilla to lunch tomorrow. Restaurants in Honolulu are pretty expensive so I'm going to
savor eating out while I'm home.
I have a job interview in Honolulu with an IT temp company for January 8th when I return from VA. Salaries in Hawaii are really low - even people with college degrees are doing well to make $10/hour. Without Howie I would not be able to live there myself. Well, without Howie, I wouldn't want to live there period =)
