The last time I saw you my guitar had just been stolen out the back of my car.
Nope, just kidding. Incidentally, I have no car. I do have a couple guitars though, needless to say they are very out of tune. Well to clear up a bit about the last post, I met SINDRI from Seabear/Sin Fang Bous.
Here is a better picture of him than I could take. If you haven't heard his music, you probably should. I think it's really beautiful. I first started listening to him when I heard the "Drunken Songs EP" and since then he's continued to do really awesomely beautiful things. I thought he'd never make it to our shores but he has!
Here's him and Seabear doing a cover of
"Teenage Kicks" and here's the song that really hit me by them,
I Sing I Swim. It was sort of surreal when we met him--there were so many people, he signed Grace's shoe, a fight broke out at the venue, and the music was intoxicatingly beautiful. We didn't meet Mum, but if you get the chance, you MUST see them live. Their music is ten million times better live than on record. I went back and listened to it on iTunes and that doesn't even begin to cover how good they are. A shame.
Other than that, I'm trying to figure out my schedule for next semester, and I have a really wicked cough that doesn't seem to be going away. It's getting better though. I took Robitussin Severe Cough/Cold and didn't sleep for three nights straight (I COULDN'T EVEN NAP, OKAY. My roommates stole the bottle from me because that indicates a severe problem with me, haha) only to find that the box says if you are experiencing sleeplessness at all STOP USE AND CALL A DOCTOR. Oops? It's not that I took more than the normal dose, it's just weird.
There are other weird things going on, but not much worth mentioning. I'm trying to get back on my school grind and I'm doing much better this semester, which I'm happy about. I have to read about 50 pages worth of Spanish readings, (O Jose Marti!) but nobody knows when that's gonna get done.
Hopefully I'll update this again in less than 32048293 years. Hope you all are well!
