The first thing I thought when I saw this was pergola with grape vines....awesome!

You know what would be cool? if you actually put steps all the way around the deck....hmmm how do I explain. I'm going to see if I can find a pic. This is the best I can do...think of this deck all the way around:

that is a cool style, but we are gonna tear it to the ground and wouldn't build another deck(i say we, my parents cause its their house)anytime soon. if the base wood is in decent shape we might be able to do something similar to that.....i've got lots of ideas!
my dad has a good bit of old brick that i'd love to do a patio with!

oohhh a brick patio!? I love that idea! It would tie in the brick from the house nicely.

I have a stupid, totally unrelated question...how do you post your pictures with that little square instead of putting it behind a cut? i have looked everywhere and I don't know how!

its actually all just one picture. i use picasa to make a collage.

I'm sorry...I meant....when I look at your journal, I see this little box thingy. Then when I click on it, it brings me to your pictures. I always have to put my pictures behind a cut.

Oh, that's weird! It doesn't do that when I look at it. Is it like an arrow thing cause I've seen that on other peoples when they have like a slide show...hmmmm.

Yeah it looks like an arrow pointing to a flower in a box or something. How do you put your pictures on like that? Do you use HTML?

yeah, i just paste the direct link from photobucket so i can pick my own size. whenever i just upload straight to livejournal they shrink them.

what the crap. I paste the link too. I can't figure it out. It's like everyone knows a secret and is keeping me out. hahaha well...you guys are going to have to deal with my small pictures or just LJ cuts until I can figure it out!

hmmm lemme see....no I use the HTML tab so I always have to manually type in the code for centering and stuff. Is that the secret?

Yeah, I only ever use rich text cause entering my own codes has never served me well. I'm a bit dumb!

thats really annoying though cause i want the picture to just show up in my entry...i dont want people to have to click on an arrow. it never shows up for me that way....livejournal used to be so much easier i thought!
