Altercation, by Eric Alterman Mike Huckabee -- past and probably future GOP presidential contender, and of course host of a Fox News show -- says gay rights is a "different set of rights" than civil rights, and notes that

It is all Fox news has left. The back lash that would ensue if they actually started refering to Obama as a "insert racial slur"president would relegate them to the likes of the enquirer. No one would take them seriously and the those that did you would not want to. Most of the people in America have grown tired of their hate and finger pointing when it comes to liberals and democrats. As with most things this country does we take a step in the right direction and at the same time take two steps back. It is as simple as divide and conquer, the real question is will we be alert enough to see it and correct the problem.

LOL at the graph. Can I copy? Thanks for posting the Alterman stuff. I used to read him religiously, but spend less time reading political blogs since my Torchwood obsession took over, because, really, what's more important than hot scifi guys kissing on TV? The Alterman quotes are horrifying. Just so....stupid.

Love the graph! And as far as the hyperconservatives go -- they are fighting a losing battle and they know it. Scares them to bits nobody is listening to their jeremiads anymore.
