Today and other days

So far today I have made plans to go see Hellboy II tonight, played a little text twirl, and added some books to my library thing account. I have also been stressing over some things, especially money. But whatever.

These past couple of weeks have been pretty interesting. I have helped all my friends move. Marq and Melissa moved into a really nice house down the road from their old house. Ruff is moving in with them, into the apt over the garage, while Dave bought (is in the process of buying) Their old house. Moving is hard work. But I like it and I am good at it. It comes with being good at making plans and organizing people, and a love of sorting things. My favorite part is the unpacking though. I love finding all the places to put new things.

In about a month give or take I will be moving back home for a while. I have acquired a lot of stuff. I'll have to go through my clothes and purge and pack things smartly, because some stuff, I won't need to get out, until I move to a place on my own, like my dishes. I don't want it to get mixed in with my family's stuff.

I have just recently found out I'm going to Dragon*Con over labor Day weekend. It will cost quite a bit of money (about $250) but I really want to go. I'm hoping with a birthday and a graduation coming up I'll get the dough. Tamora Pierce is going to be there. She's awesome and this is her first appearance anywhere near where I live. SO I'm excited. I'm going with my friend Jay and his friends. I need to find a fifth person to go with us to split the cost. I would bring Rachel but she will be 7 months pregnant. Maybe I'll bring her anyway. David could come too. Any of you want to come? Let me know

I also made an Amazon wishlist because it looked like fun. I started with a few of the things I really want, like Acquire and Pit, but I kept finding cool things and got a little carried away. Now my Amazon Wishlist is things I wouldn't mind having but don't really need.

AShley and Avi came to visit me this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. We hung out and did touristy things in Cherokee and watched movies and they seemed to get along well with my other friends up here. (Read lots of like like going on.) On Monday we went up to Ashville and walked around he downtown area. Downtown Ashville is really neat. There are a lot of stores I want to go back to when I have money. One store had really neat chopsticks and I thought of Erica, and also dangly earrings which made me think of Rachel. Speaking of Rachel, crap. I just remembered she's planning her baby shower for over Labor Day Weekend. Well snap.

School is going really well. I finished my June class. Overall it was a really fun class. I liked it because there was a lot of discussion. Discussing things is my favorite thing to do in a history class. The essay questions on the midterm and final were killer. They were so broad and so I wrote a bunch, but they were fun. For the last project, my group did a project on The Persian Gulf War. We did a podcast on Garage Band. I was, surprisingly enough the technological expert. I would like to be able to share it with you, but unfortunately there were massive technological difficulties. The file didn't save right, so I had to redo most of the entire project the day it was due. Also, when we tried to save the finished product as a playable-on-itunes file, the pictures would not save with the sound.

However, I have decided that making podcasts on garage band is a lot of fun. Now I want a mac. Since I already have a desktop, I want a mac notebook. This way, I can use Garage Band and Final Cut Pro and make awesome historical and satirical podcasts.

Which reminds. There are several satirical pieces I want to write soon. It will be awesome. As will my tongue in cheek book on how history was changed by men thinking with their penises.
