Rest in Peace William Westbrook. He died on Thursday. He was a good man and he will be missed.
For those of you wondering, Rachel's, one of my best friends, father passed away. Friday evening was spent at her house consoling her and her famil, Saturday evening was the visitation, Sunday was the funeral and the internment. It was a sad weekend. I liked Rachel's dad. He was funny and her always made me laugh. A more southern man, I'll never know. He always fell asleep in church and he was sometimes intimidating. Many people will miss him, but his family now feels peace, as they know he went to a good place and they will be reunited with him someday.
I talked to a school counselor the other day and found I am only 1 credit hour short of an Associates degree. To get an AA, I must pass all my classes this semester, get my AP Calculus scores sent here, and sign up for an ACA 120 -1 cred hour class, for the second short session.
Then to get to Western in the fall, I must apply, find a place to live, and find out about work-study. I also want to plan out my classes for the next 3 semsters so I can get my BA after the fall of my senior year. I need a checklist for both my major (History) and my minor (Creative Writing). I also need to find out which classes from here count for what.
To Do:
Call the College board
Pay my school library fines
Register for the second short session ACA 120 class
Get an official high school transcript
Find out if Western uses 3 or 4 credit hours for foriegn languauges
Apply for Western
Get a college transcript sent there
Plan a trip to western for the following:
---Major and minor checklist...meet some of the professors
---Find out about the Honors college
---Go to church to meet people
---Find a place to live off-campus
---Find out about Work Study-Tutoring center
---Find out about Marching Band
