The first step of having a productive day is to actually put clothes on. This, for many people, can not only be challenging, but unconquerable, as well. Having to put clothes on is the reason why I have spent so many Sunday mornings in bed, rather than exploring flea markets for old keys, or book fairs on one of the last warm weekends of the year.

I would love to live in Brooklyn. Where are you from originally?

I find it hard to get out of bed in the morning. I wake up about 6 hours after physically awakening and I suffer from opiate withdrawal every morning which sucks. I wish we all had buttons built into our arms that we could press and gain an instant motivation state of mind.

I lived in Poland and the UK for a few years, then I moved to California for a few years, and then decided to move to New York a few years ago. It makes me dizzy.

I would absolutely love that button. Evolution screwed us along the way.

I adored the last paragraph, and echo the Brooklyn sentiments. There are so many awesome people in Brooklyn now, but my piggy bank is so bereft, I can only visit if basically everyone gets rich then simultaneously dies [hereby presuming I am the soul surviving heir obviously, if I die, there's very little commercial benefits], and I'm not sure that's the sort of sentiment a chap wants to become too festooned in.

Ho hum. You know, phone calls with parents are hard. If they don't make you feel mawkish and uncomfortable, I rather think the solution for such a thing would be a letter. I sense you come alive more in your writing, without casting aspesions on your oral abilities. Just for some people, those pages *do* things. Good things. Where we become super heroes capable of any expression or emotion.
