I'm guessing you think theres something wrong with it..
Try this out.
Instead of thinking there is something wrong with the unique and special communication that was apart of your relationship, go into it knowing its there, and all you have to do is use it!
It's never lost, its always there, hiding, waiting, for the day of its return!

*sigh* You're absolutely right, on all accounts. I'm just a little frustrated right now. The thing is, I've invited communication more then a few times the last few months, and out right discussed my feelings of disconnection, and had been assured that the desire to explore that connection was still true and strong. The things that I was told in direct conversation don't match what I've read posted for friends to read, or actions. Before posting my frustration yesterday, I had messaged for a one-on-one talk over coffee. I'm hoping it will happen this weekend while she's in town for other reasons (musician gigs).

I wish you much luck in hopes to reconnect. In regards to it I can only go on personal experience. I sometimes get the feeling that I am out of connection with people, but with that it tends to make me try harder. What I found to work better for my situation is to add a few disappearing acts in. And give whatever support I could do in return for her.
I would say, just be yourself and try and not dwell on these thoughts, because if you actually think about it, our thoughts are what make our worlds go that way.
Some paths lead in different directions, but in hope and faith, your tribe will go on. Speaking of tribes (just reading your personal vow), I saw a sign the other day which pretty much told me, "my tribe needs me" Are you in the same tribe? Just curious.

Thanks for the words of support and advice. 'Disappearing acts' would be difficult, what with living in different cities, and only seeing each other 2 or 3 times briefly in passing at social situations, but I've opened up dialogue. Seems that there was an assumption of knowledge due to email that I never received. She's in town. We'll talk soon.
As to if we are in the same tribe, since you reached out to a stranger, we probably are! Tribe, and also clan, are words that I use to describe my extended family, or others that have a certain resonance of kinship.
Kimmy, I am definitely supportive of you and love... of course. You can imagine what a surprise I must have received when my first knowledge of monogamy was when I read your lj a couple of days ago.... no, I didn't receive your well thought out email. If I had, I would have replied with support and happiness. I was confused with why you kept such important info from me, and feeling like you had been dishonest with me.
I hope that we can get that one-on-one time soon. Received your phone message, but your phone will not receive calls (so says some computer voice). For planing sake, the cart closes at 5, but am not off work until about 6:30.
I hope you were able to read the email my dear. If not, I can resend it to you as I worked very hard trying to find the right words. I made sure that the first people to know (or so I thought LOL) were you and Scott and waited days after sending the emails before making any annoucements on live journal or to any of my friends.
I love you, darling and even though it seems that we might not be able to meet up this trip, I will be back in a few days and want to set up a time and place for us to get together and connect. :o)
I love you too, my dear, and am happy for you. I did not receive your email, and appreciate your intent. I look forward to connecting with you when you're back in town.
