Race for the Tiara

Omg this past weekend was by far, the most fun I've had in a loooooooooong ass time. Halloween debauchery and Jed in a dress, you don't get much better than that! Haha.

Friday night I went to Alan's Halloween party, dressed as a hippy (hey it's all I could throw together in such short notice). Don't know what that says about me really, but whatever. The party was fun, I got to see a lot of friends I hadn't seen in a while. So that's always good. Tommy was being scandalous as always :P haha he kills me.

Saturday was the Race for the Tiara at Machine. It's a fundraiser that my volleyball league does every year for charity, to benefit the Waltham House. It's a place that takes in kids that have been thrown out of their homes because of their sexual orientation. This year we were able to raise approx. 3,000.00 for them - so that was awesome. The race itself is basically a drag show, put on by anyone in the league that wants to perform.

There were about 300 people there, and Jed went to perform this year. He dressed up as Marilyn Monroe (drag name "Marilyn Man-ho) and sang "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend" into a diamond encrusted dildo. It was lovely. Hahahaha. I can't wait to get the pictures. :P 0:)

I was hassled all night as to why I wasn't performing... but maybe I'll have to give in next year and do it. It is, after all, for a good cause. :P We'll see how many people I can bring in, haha.

So after the Race, we went to Club Cafe for a while (we got out of the Race at 10, so it was plenty early) and stayed there till a little after 12. It really wasn't busy at all so Tommy and I decided to make a run to the Roxy. And I mean literally, a RUN cause it was freezing out. We actually did shots before leaving so we'd be warmed up. I had a double shot of whiskey, lol. Yea it was interesting, but so funny.

Roxy was a blast - all my volleyball boys were there, so that guaranteed a good time. Tommy was being stalked by some psycho, so that proved to add an element of excitement to the night. And my friend Chris threw his arms around a total stranger in the mens room while the guy was trying to use the urinal. I swear the kid stopped peeing on command. lol. Good times were had by all :P

Sunday I went down to Somerset for the day - it was my mom's birthday, so we took her to brunch and gave her presents. I bought her an external hard drive (which she has been saying she's wanted for months). Jay and I got into a slight argument/disagreement as to whether or not she'd like it. Apparently he seems to know my mom better than I do... For the record, she was ecstatic and couldn't get it out of the box fast enough to play with it. Thank-ya.

After brunch I packed it up and drove to Cambridge to play volleyball. I just went to the Rec session, haven't been to Intermediate yet. But I will soon. The session was great, we had a pretty good team - we were undefeated all night. :)

After volleyball I was able to meet up with my friend Diego who was visiting this weekend from NY, so we were able to have dinner real quick before he had to go back. Then it was just a long painful (I was so exaughsted) drive back to Framingham, haha.

I have a customer training this week, so I'm probably just going to go home and go straight to bed when I get home today. I was so tempted to call-in, I could NOT get up for the life of me. Although there's that wonderful cold going around, so I don't want to waste my sick time if I don't need to.
