No disrespect to the man (for I did like him), but this is very funny:

I have a gig tonight. I am looking forward to it.

On Sunday, myself and Tom went to Mars:

We arrived on Mars to find few buildings but a surprisingly breathable atmosphere. This is Tom undoing his spacesuit.

Contrary to popular belief, Mars does have rivers. However, the water is kinda red so is best avoided.

One needs to keep one's wits around one, otherwise wet feet will ensue.

As proven here as I go straight in. Ugh.

Tom found crossing more challenging (possibly due to the rareified atmosphere)

He was careful at crossing the Martian rivers.

A Martian mountain range.

Martian soil gives out huge clouds of dust when one jumps into the air and then lands again.

Tom explores the barren landscape of a (largely) dead world.

We think that this was once a Martian. It has a visible skull on the left.

Reduced gravity = great feats of apparent strength.

We found this. We figured that it must be a space probe, so Tom kicked it.

Mars is choc-a-bloc with canals and crevasses. This is one here. Tom stands by it to give it some scale.

One wouldn't want to fall into the Martian waters.

Although Tom seems intent on seeing just how much he can push his luck.

He repeatedly baits the environment. It will later attempt to get its own back.

Not to be outdone, I also try to make the crumbly edge crumble further. Shortly after this was taken, I fell down on the landslide that I'd created.

Tom baits the Martian rocks by throwing them into the water.

Eventually the environment fought back. There go my shoes in the quicksand so prevalent upon the Martian surface. Oh dear.

Tom had similar trouble with his work shoes.

Mars defeated us and we ran away.

We journeyed back home in our trusty travelling machine.
We will go back again someday, but perhaps with better shoes.
