Wow oh wow
Even though I don't post much my party last weekend was definitely lj-update worthy. Tons of people came a lot of whom I didn't even personally know. But it wasn't ridiculuously big. I am glad we were using both apartments though. Very few, if anybody, gave just $2. We raised more than $250, which is absolutely amazing. I thought I would be lucky if we even got $100. I'm really hoping to have my surgery in August instead of in December like I originally planned. This money will help that hope right along. Thank you so much everybody that came and donated!!
There are two main reasons for this post
1) To let everybody to final count
2) To give a few individual thanks
Sarah: You planned, organized and provided for this entire event. You are supporting me, helping me, and standing by me even though I know this is not easy for you. I wish I knew a way to let you know how much I appreciate everything you do for me. You are one in a million and I am indescribably lucky to be with you.
Kelly: Between coming while you were sick, not being able to even drink, being willing to take the tip jar around (which ended up not being needed), and taking care of Jodie's dog you definitely went above and beyond friendly support. I just wanted you to know that I did notice and I thank you.
Keith: Water and food worked great! I had zero hangover in the morning :)
Everybody who came from out of town: It was amazing to see how much support I have and what I strong community that I belong to. I only hope that I have the chance to return the deed.
Everybody who took out Jodie's dog: Enough said I think.
