What's new in the LiveJournal community:
crimsonmoonlite taught me how to link to other journals. Because she is LJ savvy, yo. ^_^
sekomako has been making TONS of shiny Firefly icons! I borrowed my current Kaylee icon from her, and so far I've gotten 7 different comments and compliments on it! So she rocks hardcore.
oh_hell_yea put me on her top list of things she loves, and has now become one of the coolest people ever. ^_^
jimi_hiryu is going to be recovering from surgery, and I miss you terribly. Get well soon Adrian! *hugs for you*
What's new in my little world:
Joanns Fabrics is having their end of the year sale, so I stocked up on patterns and fabric for the costumes I want to make for D & D and SCA events. The costumes I'm thinking about working on this summer is a fun fantasy gothic dress, a cloak and then some historically accurate Anglo-Saxon garb. I can't begin working on anything until I'm settled in the new apartment, so I can only gaze longingly at the pile of fabric for now.
I've been taking pictures of birds lately. The birds are so different here than in California, and I have fun chasing them down and trying to get good shots. I'm half tempted to join the Minot Birdwatching Club, but it's membership fee is like $50 a year. *sigh* Here's a bird I chased around Oak Park for about 5 minutes before it held still:
I'm also having fun using different filters while taking pictures. I decided to have some fun with a little abstract architecture shots. This is the church on Main Street.. these were all taken on different days using different filters, shutter speeds, blah blah blah..:
I can't wait till I can begin moving into the apartment. There's a desk I want to buy at Target. I got paid today, so I might just go do that...
