Hi gymrats, like a lot of people, my New Year's resolution is to lose some weight and get in shape. I'm kind of ashamed to admit that I'm 5'6" and 182 lbs. I'd like to get down to 150 and then see where to go from there. I've read the community info but I still have a lot of questions ( Read more... )

Uhhh, assuming you're not trolling us, read the community info and visit the links therein. It was written for a good reason. It should answer your first 4 questions.

Eating clean means not eating crap (cookies, chips, anything fried, white grains, processed starches). If it comes straight from the ground or the animal, it's generally not too bad. Beware of things in packages. Use FitDay or another tracking tool to help you determine how many calories are in common foods and track your intake. Good luck! Also, read the community info.
