Hello. I am new to this community. I go to the gym 4 to 5 days a week, primarily to keep my weight down but also to get fit after giving up smoking last year. I work for the Army so go to the gym on the Barracks, and they provide a military style circuits class which I have been umming and aahhing about for months. I decided to go today and had a great time, and I can tell it's had a positive effect. So it was interesting to get this article posted on my FB feed.
Why Army-style fitness workouts are all pain and NO gain I think the article has a point, in that obviously obese and unfit people should probably start off very gently instead of their first experience of exercise being an Army style workout, but anyone with sense would know this. Anyone else have any thoughts about this kind of workout?
PS It's the Daily Mail - if they can't sneer at someone they aren't happy. Tomorrow there will probably be an article about how Britons are overweight and should all join bootcamps!
