Summary: I sit holding your hand. Your cold, lifeless fingers sting against my own warm ones
A/N: For some reason, all I can write is deathfics, and I can't stand them.

I sit holding your hand. Your cold, lifeless fingers sting against my own warm ones. Your chipped and faded black nail polish glistens in the blinding light of the ultraviolet tubes hanging from the roof. I smile to myself remembering the first time I painted them for you.

"Just one hand!" You laughed as I picked up your left hand to continue painting them, "Like Tom Delonge!"

I look up at your beautiful face. Your usual cheeky smile replaced by a straight, thin line of a mouth. Your perfect white teeth hidden behind slightly blue lips, your usually flawless complexion hidden behind a veil of darkness. Your face is in shadow, despite the bright light.

"Harry!" I heard you squeal as I opened the door to our apartment, "You're home!" I was enveloped in a bone-crushing hug as you flung yourself on me, before I had even removed my coat you'd dragged me to the sofa and were sitting on my knee. You brushed my hair out of my eyes, your soft delicate fingers sweeping over my cheek. Your slightest touch sent shivers down my spine, every breath against my bare skin made me feel like I was in heaven. I inhaled deeply as your sweet scent tickled my nose and I wrapped my arms around your slender waist. You buried your blonde head in my neck and sighed deeply, "I missed you".
"I've only been gone four hours, " I replied, stroking your back as you snuggled further into my body, as if to entwine our two beings, making two souls become one.
"Four hours too long," you simply replied.
We spent the rest of evening lying on the sofa watching old films, not really caring about the story, just lying in each other's arms, falling asleep as the titles rolled down the screen only to be woken minutes later by the opening theme tune of the next ancient film. The next day we were late for a photo shoot and looked dead on our feet, got a lecture from Fletch about the responsibilities of being in a band and got dirty looks from the photographer, but we didn't care because we had each other and nothing could ever spoil that.

You look like you're sleeping right now, which I suppose you are. The white sheet tucked under your chin is a deathly contrast to your tanned skin. I tuck your gorgeous hair behind your ear, so as not to hide your perfection. I watch as a nurse outside the room stops and peeks through the windows to see us. I can see the look of regret and grief in her eyes as she drags her gaze away and continues with her duties, she's seen this all before but it still hurts her every time, the patients get younger and her aching heart grows.

"What do you call this?!" Fletch raged, storming into the dressing room where we were all seated on a couch, a newspaper flailing in his hand. He brandished the newspaper under my nose and I had to lean back to avoid being massacred by flying newsprint.
"W...w...what do you mean?" I smiled innocently up at him, batting my eyelashes.
"You know what I mean, Judd" Uh-oh, he only uses our surnames when he's really angry, I thought.
He began reading out loud from the paper accentuating certain words and phrases, his voice quivered under his fury.
"Bassist Dougie Poynter (19) and drummer Harry Judd (21) from popular boyband McFLY have been spotted around London Town holding hands and kissing in what one would assume a couple-like fashion... The pair were spotted by paparazzi late afternoon as they apparently went for a romantic stroll along the riverside... Fans are said to be 'distraught' and 'angered' by this apparent outing... The band have yet to comment on these incriminating pictures" He gestured to the large, colour photos of you standing on a curb to kiss me, my arm around your waist as we stroll into a shop, sitting on a bench holding hands as we stare out at the river.
"Oops?"
"We've been rumbled," You said without a care in the world, then leaned over to me to begin a full on make-out session.
"DOUGIE!" Fletch screamed, the vein in his temple throbbed painfully.
You crawled out of my lap and sighed in a disgruntled manner, I could hear Danny giggle behind his hand as Fletch shot him evils.
"This is serious!"
You grumbled and sat up straight in your chair, ready for the onslaught to begin. I rested my head on your shoulder and drifted off to sleep.

I can't believe this has happened. I'm looking at you but this doesn't seem real. Your toned chest is visible under your blanket, the colourfulness of your tattoo looks odd when everything seems so dull. Tears prick my eyes as I stroke your forehead.

Your chest moved up and down and your steady breath warmed my cheek as I gazed at your beautiful sleeping form. You rolled slowly onto your back and groaned as consciousness hit you, opening your eyes you moaned at the sunlight spilling in through the half closed curtains.
"Morning, beautiful." I whispered into your ear.
"Stop staring at me, Harry" You mumbled, "I look shit in the morning."
"You look perfect," I nuzzled into your neck "You always look perfect."
You smiled sleepily and muttered something before you closed your eyes again and fell into the land of dreams.

Please Dougie, I need you. I can't go on without you. You're the only thing that gets me up in the morning. You're my shining star in this world of darkness, my only beacon of light in such a damned place.

"HEY, I'M LOOKING UP FOR MY STARBOY! I GUESS I'M STUCK IN THIS MAD WORLD, WITH THINGS THAT I WANNA SAY!" You yelled at the top of your voice as you danced around our sitting room like a loonatic. I giggled as you jumped up on the sofa and pretended to be Danny playing his guitar, then leaped off and landed on your bum. I fell onto the coffee table unable to stand up any longer due to my laughing fit and watched as you continued to run around crazily.
"What have you been taking?" I asked, staring at you as you sat upside down on a dining room chair.
"I'm high on lurrrrrrve" You hiccupped, then proceeded to fall onto the dining room floor.
"You've been drinking again, haven't you?" I laughed.
"It's two in the afternoon! Of course I haven't!" You huffed, pretending to be indignant.
"It wouldn't be the first tiiimmeee”, I said in a sing-song voice as I poked you in the chest.
"One time! One time you have a chocolate liquor for lunch and everyone thinks you're an alcoholic!"
I smiled as you ran off to the bathroom to do god knows what, still singing.

Dougie! Please babe, I'm desperate! Come back, come back to me, I can't stand this pain. My hearts tearing in two and my soul feels as if it's being repeatedly stabbed with a blunt knife. I need you, I need you so bad!

I grabbed your hand as we ran through the park, being chased by rabid fangirls. I heard you yell as a Rose came shooting past your head, and I dared a glance behind. About 200 teenage girls were screaming our names, running as fast as their high heels allowed them, promises of love and marriage floated through the air towards us. I felt a sharp tug on my arm as you pulled me around a corner; thick bushes blocked the entrance, blocked us from view. You collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily. I looked at you and you looked at me: we both burst out laughing at the same time, unable to breathe as we grasped at each other.
"That was so fun!" You hopped up and down on the spot ten minutes later after we had escaped from the park. We gossiped and chatted as we made our way towards our home. You looked both ways as we began to cross the road, desperate to get to our cosy apartment.
It all happened in a flash. The screech of tyres pierced my brain as the stolen car rounded the corner, headed in our direction. I stood mesmerized, unable to move from fear. I heard your voice as you yelled out to me, warning me. I felt the impact of your body as it collided with mine as the car speeded towards us, the sickening crunch of human on windshield rang in my ears. I felt the pain as I landed sprawled on the ground, hitting my head on the pavement. I sat up dazedly as the car pulled away again, not even stopping to see the damage. I heard the yells of passersby, the screaming and the commandments of "Don't touch him! Wait for the ambulance!". I felt the wave of nausea as I realised they couldn’t possibly be talking about me, as I was sat up already. The dread settling in my stomach nearly killed me as I focused on the scene before me, your petit frame was lying in the middle of the road, limbs jutting out at odd angles, head surrounded by a pool of crimson. I needn't wait for the paramedics final verdict, I knew in my heart you were gone, there was an emptiness inside me that'd never been there in all the years I'd known you. A gaping black hole that threatened to spill out and engulf my entire being. A part of me was gone and I knew it'd never come back.

I kiss your lips as I say my final goodbyes, my tears spilling over and splashing on your face. I wipe them off carefully, not wanting to ruin your perfection. I close my eyes and wish upon every star that you're at peace, you're not hurting and you're not in pain, that you're happy and watching over me. I slip my hand out of yours after giving it a final squeeze, a whisper of promises and declarations of love are left floating in the gentle breeze drifting in from the window as your soul is carried away into eternity.
