Refresh once again ...

After spending 6 good years working with my ex-company, I’m going through the first 100 days test once again. Working in this new environment the HR director depicted as a “community”, you can just imagine how many times I reiterated "Hello ... Nice to meet you" on my first few days at work. However I am glad to work with a relatively small team; my boss (a Canadian), an Ex-TCS actress, a Hong Kee, & 2 “little” Nyonyas. Finally I get the "peace" that I have longed for quite sometimes.

A glance at my new workstation …

I was told that this cubicle color was chosen because of it's calming effect ... Hahaha

After settling down, here comes the WORK … I was given this prestige event that I was not supposed to fail (at least not in front of the public eyes). Feeling both excited and nervous I started my preparations on my first week of work. I recall those sleepless nights, and how exhausted I was providing the guest with that "red carpet treatment" during the 3 days event. Thanks heaps to all (both internal & external) who had supported to make this virgin event of mine a smooth and successful one. LOVE you all ... I breeze through the other events after this arduous training. Maybe this is what we call 現苦候甜 。。。

The event banner and a shot taken by the camera crew of my working buddy and myself just 5 minutes before the arrival of the distinguished guest.

Conceptualizing marketing collaterals materials seem lighter and more interesting as compare to Event Management and PR-ing.
Just to share some of my “babies” in the making … LOL … There are more projects in the pipeline ...

Selection process for the posters ...

Paper Bags for Sale ... Nah! They are meant for the marketing activities ...

Filming the corporate video. My boss commented that he was traumatized after filming  ...
The outcome was perfect ... So it's worth it BOSS ... Hihihi

Another major part of my job scope is to be the web master for the college. We view the use of web media platforms as a critical component to increase the awareness of the relatively new college. Yes, I am an IT graduate but obviously have not been in touch with IT / Web Management for like "10 thousand" years. Nevertheless, I willingly took up this task as I am finally able to practice what I have studied. My boss eased my anxiety by letting me know that the IT team will still be there for me to summon. Hahaha ...  Phew!! Thank God I can still remember those programming and photoshop techniques ... It's now within my control ...

So yah I passed my 100 days and now into my 5th month in this new job ... Many people started asking me how long do I see myself in this job, seriously I have no idea at this point of time. Probably when it's time for a change or a new challenge I will move on again. Right now I am happy with the job scope and I get to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. So currently, yes this is where I will rather be ...
