I have been in Taiwan for three months. Everyone was asking me when I am going back to Singapore. Well, I still do not have an answer to this question. Hopefully, I can go back in time to celebrate Christmas with friends and colleagues.
Yesterday was Singapore’s 43rd Birthday. Yes, I love Singapore.
I love the cleanliness, the efficiency, & the food (especially MEE POK & KOPI). I feel so proud to be a Singaporean. We have the very popular airport, prestige airline, very huge Ferris wheel, and the first to hold the F1 night racing. However, most Singaporean complains a lot about Singapore. Things like the HOT weather, the INFLEXIBLE education system, the HIGH inflation cost and bla … bla … bla … Probably being a Singaporean gives them the rights to gripe about their own country. Hihi …
Since Zhao Peng, Li Rong and Qian Yi are not Taipei, together with Wei Yi & Nicky we had decided to celebrate Singapore’s Birthday together. After browsing through the list of hotels that had subscribed to CNA, we confirmed on Sheraton (喜来登). I actually watch NDP’08 live in Taipei ….
Although we are not in Singapore to celebrate this joyous occasion, we are there in spirit. We had chicken rice from 文东记 and durians …. Wkakaka … I bought some desserts for them … We had some wine and beer as well …This also marks the first time I am celebrating National Day abroad.
Here is our chicken rice from 文东记 ... Looks different right? Yes, the taste too ... LOL!
The durians …
The desserts …
We are with the durians .... (Nicky's friends join us as well)
Happy Birthday Singapore ... Cheers
