PERSONALITY: Natsuki is interesting in that, she's not simply a cut and dry ko-gal stereotype. Though she describes herself as a 'bitch', she's on more than one occasion proven herself actually very caring and concerned over her friends. She may be tough and self-centered, but she's also pretty preceptive to the world around her, and notices things others don't usually pay attention too--sometimes for the wrong reasons starting out--like for example, Fuuka's move to the dorms despite having a family and living nearby. Given that she herself has had family problems and it's hinted that she has financial problems as well, she couldn't help but feel rather envious, and as with that envy lashed out and targeted Fuuka into bullying to the point where it ended in the other girl being thrown into the gym at night. Natsuki had a lot of pent up rage and well, she wasn't channeling that into her studies. However around the time when Fuuka disappears and almost all her friends involved with her went missing, Natsuki begins to worry--at first for her friends, then for her own skin. It's only when she's saved by Fuuka herself does it make an impact for her. It didn't make much sense to her then, why would someone she tormented be so selfless? It's around that time, Natsuki begins to think of her own actions in consequence and while she can't remember very well what went on, instinctively she feels some sort of camaraderie with Fuuka.
BACKGROUND:Natsuki comes originally from the Kanto region of Japan. It was around when she was seven her family following her father's work relocated to Iwatodai, so her family only arrived during the aftermath of 'Ten Years ago'. Even in grade school she was a rather independent girl, and would simply take what she wanted, dis-regarding all the scoldings and lectures from teachers. Her family situation wasn't so bad as it soon grew to be, she was simply just did what she wanted. It wasn't till around junior high that her father's illness grew worse and the bills kept rising. Her mother's job was barely pulling them through but her father insisted on still working. This strained financial situation and often tense family dinners is what drove Natsuki, the spunky yet still somewhat behaved child to the gal lifestyle. She took out her frustrations in fights and happily beat people who thought otherwise--it suited her as she soon grew to be known through out the school as some thing of a misfit. This label would stick with her all the way till high school.
