*He's not lost in the book, per se, maybe just reading it intently as he walks into the park. It's The Waste Land, just a little pocket size version. He puts it away and adjusts his glasses as he approaches the stage, and he stands with a bemused smile on his face.*

I looked over one of the pamphlets my dad got earlier, but I don't think we'll actually be bidding on anything.

That does seem a little strange. It activates the imagination, doesn't it? One wonders what kind of crime could be committed in the company of clouds of aromatic steam, the nostrils filled with the scent of liquid energy...
