[EVENT] Party at People Park

It's the anniversary of People Park's opening and as advertised, there's a stage set up for the talent show in the center of the park grounds, with a large half circle of seats set in front of it for the audience. Behind the stage is a large preparation tent for the performers; there's an opening at the back as well as one that leads directly up

*Lotta arrives at the park fairly early, settling herself on the ground a little behind the audience seats. She fiddles with the settings on her camera, glancing around, but she doesn't notice anyone she knows.*

Miss Hart! Good, you're here already!

*walks up to Lotta, wearing a judge's ribbon over her kimono*

Do you have everything you need? The show will be starting soon.

*walks up to his mother and tugs her kimono lightly* Hey, hey, mom. Mom. Mom. Hey. Mom.

*tug, tug*

Mom. Mom. Mom.

*doesn't look down at Wocky just yet; speaks to him while still looking at Lotta*

Wocky, is this something important?

*Valant is already in the tent, just assembling the last of his equipment. He's got a wooden board set up for throwing knives (carefully keeping the knives themselves concealed with his other equipment, lest Phoenix see them). The board itself is very plain, painted yellow -- it's nearly impossible to tell its purpose from looking at it.*

Oh good. Things look resplendent! *he moves over to a carrier where two of his rabbits are, opening it up to hold them, nuzzling the tops of their heads lightly* I hope you two are ready to perform today! We have quite the crowd on this fine day.

*he looks around, holding his rabbits to his chest, stroking their ears lightly* Trucy and Wright should be arriving soon. I suppose I should get the two of you ready.

*Goes about concealing the two rabbits; one in his hat, the other up his sleeve*

*heads through the southern entrance of People Park, deciding that today is just such a day to go outdoors in his hoodie and knit hat. He holds onto Trucy's hand with one of his, and scans the busy park grounds*

Alright, I guess Valant should be in the tent setting up... *he leads the both of them towards that direction*

You all set, Tru? Are you nervous?

Nervous? No way! It's my big show! How can I be nervous!

*Trucy keeps a tight grip on his hand, alternating between walking, skipping, hopping, and trying to hang on him*

It's going to be great, Daddy!

*chuckles, letting her prance and swing off of him whenever the whim strikes her*

And you're not going to do anything dangerous, right? Valant said I should watch backstage... *he frowns slightly, on seeing the raised stage and the tent behind it* --but it doesn't look like I'd be able to see anything back there.

*they reach the back entrance of the tent, and step inside the flap*

Hey, Big D? You need any help with that amp?

*looks to his friend as he carries one of the amps; the other band members as well as himself holding instruments and other equipment for their performance as they walk towards the tent.*

I can give you a hand if you want -- need me to take Anna?

*Daryan is carrying an amp with both of his hands while having Anna, his guitar on top of the amp. He is walking very slowly, trying to balance the guitar in it's case while carrying the amp and making sure he won't trip over anything.*

N-no. I got everything, man. It's all good.

You are going a little slow there, ja?

*Klavier adjusts all the extension cords he has looped around his shoulder and steps over to Daryan* Hold up. Let me take her -- you would have to have her fall, ja?

I said I got it, man! *Daryan moves the amp to the left to stop the guitar from sliding to the right* Just go on ahead, I'll catch up.

*Stickler is lucky that his home is only a couple of blocks away, because he is huffing and puffing under the weight of a huge wheelbarrow covered with a bright blue patched tarp. He looks winded enough that he probably couldn't have gotten it much further than here, but his eyes are bright with barely-concealed excitement as he pushes it through the park entrance and towards the stage.*

*intercepts Stickler as he is headed for the stage*

*Very obviously intimidated by the shorter woman.* U-Uh!!! Y-YES MA'AM!! Is that all right or should I have informed someone beforehand I'm really sorry!

WAH HA HA HA HA! No, it's fine. Go right on ahead. *fingers the ribbon she's wearing* I'm one of the only people who could register you anyway, and I love surprises. Go on, get up there and wow 'em.

*stands underneath one of the small covered tents, browsing through the baked goods on display with a small smile. She's accompanied by a handful of individuals in dark suits, including a dignified and rather fierce-looking old man who stands watching her some feet away*

*Wocky is wandering the park, searching for his father when he spots Viola. He quickly makes his way over towards her with a wide grin on his face*

Hey! Yo! Miss Viola! You came-- *stops when he sees the men she's with*
