[HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT GS4? (IT'S OKAY IF THE ANSWER IS "NOTHING")] Some major and smaller spoilers.
[HOW MUCH RP-ING HAVE YOU DONE?] A couple of years of roleplaying, primarily in two previous RPs.
ABOUT THE CHARACTER YOU WANT
[NAME:] Franziska von Karma
[AGE:] 20
[GENDER:] Alpha-female
[STATUS:] Prosecuting Attorney
[SEXUALITY:] Franziska’s constant focus on perfection in all aspects of her life leaves her little time (or desire) to dwell on others and their inevitable weaknesses- whether in a platonic or romantic way. It is an area left virtually untouched and something that she has avoided for her entire life; where in reality, it is something she is slightly uncomfortable with.
[FRIENDS:] Miles Edgeworth - Franziska’s ‘Little Brother’, despite the obvious fact that Miles is 7 years her elder. He is the closest thing to family Franziska has (outside of the prestigious von Karma bloodline, with her father incarcerated and her older sister apparently out of the picture), and considers him a brother in the truest sense of the word. The two have haunting similarities, likely stemming from their upbringing, but she is often disappointed in his newfound apathy towards defeat. Still, he is one of the most important pillars in her life.
Dick Gumshoe - Detective Gumshoe is always at Franziska’s beck and call, whether he likes it or not. Franziska sees “the scruffy detective” as a complete fool and little more than a drone worker in her career-hierarchy; but is content with his dedication to her and his tasks at hand… most of the time. Otherwise, he will surely feel the wrath of her whip.
Adrian Andrews - Former key witness to the prosecution, Franziska met Adrian during the Matt Engarde trial and instructed her to follow everything Franziska dictated. Since the trial, she has been around from time to time, but Franziska tries not to encourage such behavior.
Phoenix Wright - While calling Phoenix Wright a friend is certainly pushing the envelope, her distaste for the defense attorney has (slightly) calmed since her final trial against him and her trip back to Germany. Franziska even assisted Phoenix in the more recent case against Iris, but she would surely tell you she was rather helping Miles.
[ENEMIES:] Much like her ‘friends’, Franziska has little time to give anyone enough attention to be considered an enemy, or worse yet, a rival. A year ago, the closest thing she had to that description was Phoenix, who she constantly strived to defeat in the courtroom, frequently to no avail. He was the only person that could stand up against her, and it was an utter frustration unlike anything she had ever experienced before.
[OCCUPATION:] Prosecuting Attorney, both in Germany (where she first worked and rose to fame) and in America.
[HOBBIES:] Competition - basically anything where she can prove her own superiority. Studying, reading, and chess are mainly what compromises whatever little spare time she has. Franziska also has an interest in weaponry; more specifically whips and other instruments that require aim and precision.
[LIKES:] Arguments, competing against others, perfection, formalities, obedience, inflicting pain, luxury, traveling, and tea. Her family’s (and more specifically, her own) reputation is also of great interest to her.
[DISLIKES:] Weakness of any kind. She hates to lose, and dislikes even more when people find no fault in losing. She also dislikes clinginess, excuses, and disorder.
[STRENGTHS:] Extremely well-versed in law and equally dedicated to her career, with a lightning-fast mind that doesn’t miss a beat. Witty and confident, Franziska is a fiery force to be reckoned with.
[WEAKNESSES:] Gets frustrated by others’ imperfections, and frequently bursts into insulting the fools around her by telling them just how foolish they are - regardless of how repetitive it gets. Temperamental, conceded, and too resilient towards others.

[APPEARANCE:] Franziska strives to maintain her appearance like every other aspect of her life - flawless. Muted silvery-cyan hair that neatly falls into place, with bangs tucked behind an ear. Her small frame is masked by her attire - a professional ensemble of a black leather skirt and matching vest, trimmed in gold, and finally adorned with large aquamarine stones in the place of subdued buttons or cufflinks, always with her trademark golden whip at her side. Her dress is polished off with a white blouse, with puffed sleeves, and topped with an extravagant white bow. Not a wrinkle in sight - would you expect less of perfection?
[PERSONALITY:] Franziska is certainly not a meek individual; rather she is completely on the other side of the spectrum. She is fierce and gleaming with confidence, priding herself on her own perfect self-image. Her attitude is fiery, and she is quick witted and sharp as a tack. Her strong personality is renowned both in and outside of the courtroom, and she rarely lets her guard down. She is so extremely guarded that she can often come off as cold and callous, spiteful and mean-spirited, despite there being a glimmer of something more genuine and true deep within her.
[BACKGROUND:] Daughter of the infamous prosecutor Manfred von Karma, Franziska always had her sight set on one thing - perfection. She was raised as such, and was expected to be nothing less than flawless. Growing up, she studied tirelessly, following her father’s famous footsteps, and set off to Germany at the age of 13 to begin her own career as a prosecutor. She created quite a name for herself, maintaining an infamous perfect win record, until she returned to the United States to seek revenge against Phoenix Wright.
The revenge was not for her father, who Phoenix not only defeated in court, but also managed to get convicted of the murder of Gregory Edgeworth, but rather for the blemish he created on the von Karma name. Franziska’s usual temperament and constant assaults with both her whip and her use of the word “fool” were not enough to defeat Phoenix, and she soon tasted the bitter taste of shame and defeat with her first loss in the case against Maya Fey. Still, she was headstrong as ever and refused to give up, chalking the loss up to some strange fluke, and once again matched wits with Phoenix once again in the trial against Maximillion Galactica. Once again, her tricks were not enough, and she was shocked at yet again another defeat. This was absolutely unacceptable, and Franziska was completely caught off guard with yet again another defeat.
Still, she composed herself and swore to defeat Phoenix, taking the case against Matt Engarde. During the investigation, her only focus was on a win for herself, and she would stop at nothing to achieve it - most notably coaching and training Adrian Andrews, a key witness, into saying exactly what she wanted the court to hear to ensure her victory. What Franziska didn’t anticipate was the return of her brother from “death”, and she felt no harm in telling him exactly what she thought of a person who throws in the towel as easily as he did.
After being shot by Shelly de Killer, Franziska was unable to complete her role as prosecutor over the case, and was forced to relinquish the role to Miles - despite how much she fought against it. She was, however, able to get over her own dismay with the situation, and rushed back to the courtroom to deliver crucial evidence after Gumshoe’s car accident. Even after the prosecution successfully convicted Matt Engarde, Franziska is completely outraged by Phoenix and Miles celebrating, and denounces both Miles and herself as disgraces to the family name. She leaves to travel back to Germany, but is stopped by Miles at the airport, where we see the first sign of the true nature of Franziska and the vulnerable girl inside of her that yearns for success and acceptance.
She returns to assist Miles and Phoenix in the Iris case, and once again takes up her role as prosecutor. While after GS3 she is still the fierce, stubborn Franziska that we first met, there is a small part of her that is slightly more mature and receptive to others, despite how desperately she tries to mask it.
