Garlic!

A few months ago, nyssa73, heatherinktum and I started work on a vegetable garden with help from polymorphism, madandrew and ike2100. There still remains a lot of work to do. In fact, there is a quite a large chunk that we haven't even dug up yet, though I've been picking at it when weather and time permit. But before winter set in we did manage to plant about 40 cloves of garlic: this being a plant, according to nyssa73's research, that does well when planted shortly before it gets really cold.

Well, the weather is nice today and I decided to put in some time doing more digging. It's the first time I've been out there in a while. And lo and behold, most of the cloves have sprouted, and we have a nice little array of 1-2 inch garlic shoots growing out of their beds.
