Week in review

It's finally Sunday and 15 minutes before game two of the Stanley Cup finals. I'm extremely tired and need a couple of days to regenerate. The week started with having to go into work on Memorial day to take care of some lose ends that turned into a major ENCO failure. I wanted to just have to work 2 or 3 hours but ended up being there 8 hours. Tuesday I left for Mackinac Island with my colleagues to attend and broadcast live from the Mackinac Policy Conference. This also started off calmly, but the day ended with my Station Manager calling me to tell me that our Chief Engineer was let go and that we will be contracting the job out. I'll be the point person at the station to get equipment maintained and installed.
On the island we spent very long days working often waking up before the sun rose, and then playing very hard until the bar closed at night. Rinse Repeat. If you follow my twitter and facebook you'll get a more detailed story.
Finally home Friday night and stuck at work til midnight to finish logs and stuff at the station, only to turn around the following morning for a dentist appointment early in the morning. I'm my own worse enemy, and I have two cavities to boot.
Saturday night was a dual birthday party, Al's surprise birthday party at De Nang in Clawson and Heather's birthday at the Garden Bowl in Detroit. Both were filled with great conversation, great Vietnamese food at De Nang and good drinks at the Garden Bowl. Happy Birthday Heather and Al!
Finally this morning Jackie and I had a freelance photo job in Ann Arbor taking finish line and medal photos of the Dexter to Ann Arbor Run. Early again was an understatement.

It's now 8 p.m. and time for game 2. Go Wings!
