So State Farm has been relatively helpful so far. They've accepted responsibility for the accident, and yesterday they set me up with a rental car -- a cute little red Ford Focus that is driving me insane because it only has one cigarette lighter/outlet (my GPS/mp3 player needs two -- power for the unit itself and for the gizmo that makes it play through the radio). It also has that 'feature' that makes the volume automatically go up when you're going fast and go down when you're going slow or stopped, which is very annoying in stop-and-go campus traffic as the volume always fluctuating distractingly. I need to figure out how to turn the 'feature' off, if it's even possible.
At least I have transportation now, though. And hopefully State Farm will continue to be helpful and the assessor they send out this week will *not* total my car. I've got my fingers crossed.
