So I knew things were going too smoothly. Apparently there was some nasty weather in the middle part of the country last night. My flight got cancelled. They told me the best they could do out of Baltimore was tonight at 5:15, getting me into Baton Rouge after 10. But there was a 7am flight out of Washington Dulles that got in Baton Rouge around 11. So I took that. Then I got a call at 3am from the airline saying that the Dulles flight was cancelled too, so they put me on a 7:45 flight out of Washington National. Which actually worked out ok, because it still got me to Memphis in time for my original connection.

So I got into Baton Rouge around 11. I tried to get home as quickly as possible, but I still missed the cable people who came around 11:15. I explained the situation to the lady on the phone -- actually two ladies. The first was unhelpful and told me best they could do was Monday. The second lady was much nicer and got me an early appointment on Friday. Which still sucks, so no internet until Friday. (I'm on the public library computer now -- Baton Rouge has a shiny library. Although not quite as nice as Columbia's)

Took Robin in to the vet. He's not blocked, but when they took a urine sample they found a tiny bit of blood in it. They think it's just from the syringe, but they're checking it out just in case and will call me back in a few days. Other than that (and they really don't think it will turn out to be anything) he has a clean bill of health.

Of course that was after all three of them scared me yet again by managing to get *behind* one of the bathroom cabinet drawers, so I spent a good 20 minutes searching the apartment for them before I rememberd that the door had been ajar when I opened the bathroom door. I still have no idea how all three cats managed to fit back there. Robin is getting relatively comfortable wandering around, although he's still skittish and hides at noises and sharp movement. Róisín has come out and explored a little bit in between bouts of hiding. Siobhán still hasn't come out of hiding. It will take time, but I think they'll all adjust eventually :)

Anyway, lots of stuff to do in the next few days, but I'll try and check email at least once a day until I get my internet access on. I'm also expecting some LSU people to get in touch with me that way, so the whole no internet thing really sucks.

A little necessary shopping and early bed for me tonight. Not much sleep last night with the whole getting up at 3am thing.

move, cats
