Because I'm in a silly mood
Being pretty high on the lesbian side of the gender preference scale, my general reaction to attractive men is one of aesthetic appreciation, but not desire. However, as has sometimes come up in casual discussion with friends, there are a handful of people whose attractiveness seems to defy otherwise rigid gender preferences.
For years now, I have been keeping a short-list of male celebrities even I'd be willing to do. So I had a thought -- I'll tell you mine if you'll tell me yours. For those of you who exhibit a strong preference for a particular gender, reply in the comments with the names of celebrities of the opposite gender from the one you prefer that you'd be willing to make an exception for.
Some of mine are, in no particular order:
1) Johnny Depp - 'nuff said.
2) Peter Wingfield (Methos) - he's just so *cute* And that accent!
3) Karl Urban - he's got that expressive eyebrow thing going
4) John Barrowman - assuming he'd make an exception for me. He's delightfully campy :)
5) Paul Gross - never underestimate the effect of a polite Canadian with a mischievous streak.
6) Robert Downey, Jr. - can't believe I forgot him.
7) New addition 11/11/11 - Ryan Tedder (lead singer of OneRepublic).
