Wow-are you reading a book on neuroanatomy? I learned half of this list in one class in first-year medical school (the only one I completed).

Not quite -- the raphe nucleus was the term I came across in an article I was reading, and the rest all came from adding to my list unfamiliar words contained in the definitions themselves. I must say it's interesting though, since I suffer from a neurological condition myself -- learning the names for things is really helpful!
