Book #31 -- Catherynne M. Valente, Palimpsest, 367 pages.
How can I possibly describe this? This is one of the best novels I've read in ages (at least since Cat's last novels *g*). The city she has created, Palimpsest, is more than just a place - it's a character, and a fascinating one at that. And the human characters are just as intriguing. Not to mention the wonderful new vocabulary I picked up :)
