At last another day of school has ended.
Their third year of high school was definitely not a walk in the park. Yakumo's expectation was higher and they are given more workload. Adding to that was her new projects. She has a new drama and of course her modelling. In truth, Mariya was really grateful for all the projects given to her. But still, Mariya needs her rest.
Mariya was thankful that she and Misaki were already on board the train home. Even if it's just a short while, she wanted to sleep. She needed to review for another quiz tomorrow once she got home and after their class tomorrow, they would shoot another episode of the drama.
The train was full but fortunately both of them got a seat.
Mariya leaned her head onto Misaki's shoulder once they were seated and Misaki automatically leaned his head on hers. Mariya was already dozing off but then she was rudely awakened.
A phone rang. It was coming from the girl sitting beside her. She answered her phone and started talking very loudly.
Mariya couldn't sleep. She was too loud. It was a long conversation but thankfully, just before Mariya could go crazy, it ended.
Mariya was at peace again. She tried sleeping again.
But then there was another disturbance.
The same girl started singing in a loud voice. Mariya thinks it was one of AKB48's songs. It was very upbeat and catchy, and it does not inspire sleep at all.
Mariya was starting to lose her patience. She wasn't stopping and she's even clapping with the song's beat.
'For goodness' sake, have she no consideration to other passengers at all?? It's like she owns the train!'
Mariya even started covering her ears just so she could get the point but no, she just kept on singing. And not to be rude, but she was no Kawashima Umika. Mariya should know; she’s one of her best friends. She knows many singers come to that, she was dating one.
Other passengers are even starting to look at her funny.
Mariya didn't realize her brows were furrowed until Misaki tried to iron it straight.
"Mari-chan..." He coaxed.
"Misa-kun... I can't sleep." She complained.
Misaki suddenly hugged her. Well, it was almost a hug; he placed his head on top of her shoulder and her head on top of his, their cheeks kissing.
Their position was more comfortable for Mariya now only she could still hear the girl's voice.
But then Misaki started singing in her ear. His voice was very soft, he was almost whispering. He was singing a slower version of Yorokobi no Uta.
"Aishiteru... aishiteru... Sore igai mitsukaranai..."
Mariya could still hear the girl's voice but it wasn't as annoying as before. It was as if her sense of hearing were focusing solely on Misaki's voice. Even if he wasn't singing, his voice always calms her down. It was music to her ears.
She smiled at the thought, she must really love Misaki-she was becoming mushy.
Mariya sighed in content against Misaki.
"Thank you." She whispered.
And without realizing it, Mariya started dozing off.
END.
