Chinen gave a satisfied smile. He was in the studio even though it was already late. The other members have already gone home but he wasn't satisfied with his rehearsals for his corner earlier. But now he perfected it.
He went to get his towel and hang it around his neck.
He then proceeded to go in the lockers to get his things so he could shower.
And he saw her.
He approached her and realized that she was asleep.
He smiled, 'She waited for me to finish.'
And suddenly, he remembered.
Little Yuri was running the hallway of their home.
He went and knocked on his parent's room.
His mom opened their door.
"Yuri... what is it? Why are you still up?"
"I..." Yuri started, close to crying. "I had a nightmare..." he said.
His mom smiled at him, "Do you want to sleep here tonight?" she asked.
Yuri nodded timidly.
He entered the room and saw his dad on the bed.
"Dad is already asleep?" he asked his mom, surprised.
His mom nodded. "Yes, he's very tired from work."
"But you're still awake!:" Yuri said, confused.
"Dad said he can't sleep when someone else is still up. He always let me sleep first whenever we sleep together." little Yuri said.
His mom patted him on the head. "It's because your dad trust me. If you're with someone you completely trust, you can let your guard down, show weakness..." his mom explained.
But Yuri was still confused.
His mom smiled at him. "You'll understand someday."
He smiled at the sleeping form of Kanon and caressed her hair.
"I understand now, mom."
He gently tapped Kanon's face.
"Kanon-chan..." He tried.
Kanon stirred.
"Yuri-kun. You're done?" Kanon said sleepily.
Chinen let out a chuckle when he saw what Kanon was wearing. She was disguised as a boy again. Recently, she had been doing that so she could visit him in HQ. And since there are so many juniors lately, Kanon was easily camouflaged.
She smiled when she heard him laugh.
"What is it?"
Chinen shook his head. "It's nothing," he said, still chuckling a bit.
"Why did you wait for me? You should have gone home first. I know you're tired with your rehearsals, too." Chinen asked.
"It's okay, I've already rest for a bit. And I wanted to go home with Yuri-kun." She said.
Chinen smiled at her. "Okay, I'll just take a shower for a bit then we can go home." He said.
Kanon nodded.
And when Chinen came back, he was amused and anxious to see that Kanon have gone to sleep again.
'She's really tired.'
He woke her up again.
"Kanon-chan, I'm done. We can go home now."
"Hmm?"
"You're really tired, ne? Want me to carry you home?" Chinen said, joking a bit.
Kanon giggled.
"Would you?"
