Mirai blinked when she saw who it was who had just entered. She smiled.

"Yama-chan." She called with a wave.

Ryosuke looked around and spotted her. He grinned as he recognized her, and stepped closer to her.

"Mirai-chan. Hey." He said as he sat down on one of the seats. They were currently in a cozy café close to the train station. Both of them were wearing thick clothes that they didn't really need disguises.

"What are you doing here?" Mirai said. "I would have thought you'd use your rest day to spend it with your family."

Ryosuke shrugged as he took off his scarf. "They haven't gone back from Seoul. They spent Christmas there, since I have work, I couldn't go." He explained. "What about you?" He asked.

"I have work later." Mirai said simply. "And I just felt like drinking coffee in the mean time."

"Ah… Maybe we can hang out before you go." Ryosuke said with a smile. Right then, a waiter approached their table and both of them made their orders.

"Congratulations, by the way." Mirai suddenly said when the waiter was gone. "On your new SP drama." She added at his bewildered expression.

"Oh. Thanks." He said, smiling abashedly. "Congratulations on your new movie and drama, as well."

Mirai smiled in thanks.

"And thank you for taking care of Haruna." Mirai added.

Ryosuke chuckled. "You sound just like her oneechan."

Mirai smiled. "I do consider her as my imouto." She said.

They were quiet as the waiter came back and serve them with their orders.

Ryosuke then started talking about the events while filming the SP and Mirai listened attentively. Ryosuke was always such a dork. Even right then, he'd slowly started becoming more animated as he recall funny moments with his co-workers.

"I'm kinda envious of Haruna." Mirai suddenly said.

Ryosuke perked up. "Why's that?"

Mirai shrugged. "She got to work with you, and now with Yuto-kun… I really miss our class sometimes." She admitted.

"Yeah…" Ryosuke said, smiling sadly. "Can't believe it's almost been a year since graduation."

Mirai nodded, looking down her cup of coffee.

Ryosuke stared at her, a smile tugging at his lips.

Mirai just looks small right then. She was wrapped in a white fleece jacket, and both her hands were holding the cup for warmth. Her hair was down, and he'd notice they were growing longer once more. She was wearing her glasses and her cheeks were a little flushed from the cold.

Her eyes looked a little distant. She seemed melancholy, that she looked a little lonely.

Ryosuke reined the urge to take her hand in his.

"You really miss it…" He said. And he couldn't help letting a little chuckle out. She was just adorable.

Mirai pouted. "I really wish I could work with you again." She said softly.

"You're really jealous of Kawaguchi." Ryosuke said in a statement.

Mirai raised a brow at him, but nevertheless replied. "Technically, it's 'envious,' not 'jealous.' Envy is the feeling of longing for something you don't have. Jealousy is the fear of losing something you have. Since I do not have work with you, I am therefore 'envious' of Haruna since she has." Mirai explained.

Ryosuke laughed, he couldn't help it. And after awhile-- surely realizing how silly she was, Mirai joined him.

"They're saying there's another drama I would be auditioning for." Ryosuke said after a while. "Er, I'm actually not supposed to tell anybody."

"What is it about?" Mirai asked curiously.

"I still don't know. They say it's a romcom though." Ryosuke said.

"And you'll be auditioning for the starring role?" Mirai asked.

Ryosuke nodded shyly.

He was surprised when Mirai frowned. "It's another drama we won't be working together."

"It's still in the works. Maybe you can take the audition." Ryosuke said.

"You already know about it. I'm guessing they've already notify their ideal lead actress as well." Mirai said. She sighed. "I'm so envious…"

"I think 'jealous' is the right term for this one." Ryosuke said.

"Eh?" Mirai asked, confused.

But Ryosuke just shrugged. "Jealousy is that pain which a man feels from the apprehension that he is not equally beloved by the person whom he entirely loves. I've read that somewhere."

"What does that have to do with the drama?" She asked.

Ryosuke laughed. "Nothing. I just remembered it, randomly."

"You're weird. As always." Mirai said, grinning in amusement. "But I guess it can also be put that way."

"Technically speaking," Ryosuke said, as if Mirai didn't spoke. "The two of us are jealous right now."

"How can that be?" Mirai asked with mild fascination.

"Well, you said so. The difference of envy and jealousy. Wanting what you don't have, and not wanting to lose what you do have. And I'm telling you, you're jealous, not envious." He said.

Mirai looked at him in question, raising a brow.

"Basically, I'm telling you I'm all yours." Ryosuke suddenly said. "I'm not something you don't have. You do have me. Completely."

Mirai's eyes widen at his bluntness. But before she could say anything --frankly she didn't know if she could have spoken-- Ryosuke continued talking.

"And if what I read is correct, then it doesn't really need to have another man to make a man jealous. The pain felt with the apprehension that he is not equally beloved by the person whom he entirely loves… Mirai, I'm jealous right now."

They were quiet for a while, just looking at each other.

And then, Mirai pouted, though her eyes were bright.

"If that's the case, then I'll be left the only one jealous." Mirai said.

"What--?"

"I'm telling you I'm all yours, as well. Thoroughly and completely." She said. "So now, you can't be jealous."

Ryosuke's face slowly broke into a wide grin. He bit his lower lip to keep himself from doing something stupid-- like shouting in joy or kissing Mirai in front of everyone.

He was surprised when Mirai pout.

"I'm still jealous." Mirai reminded him.

"I'm also jealous." Ryosuke said. "Of Tamamori-kun."

Mirai giggled. "Right, I forgot."

"I've also been jealous of Kamiki, of Hongo-san, of Haruma-san, of Sanada-kun…" Ryosuke told her.

"So technically, we're even?" Mirai asked.

"I think I'm actually at a disadvantage." Ryosuke pouted.

Mirai laughed, and then she kissed the palm of her hand and touch Ryosuke's cheeks with it.

"I haven't greeted you, have I?" Mirai said. "Merry Christmas."

Ryosuke smiled and held her hand to his face. "Merry Christmas."
