Damnit
I have managed to lose an entire HUGE bag of winter hats/scarves/gloves/etc. I put them away. I put them in a safe place. It must be very safe, because it's sure as hell safe from ME.
Speaking of safes, on the plus side we finally got into the safe in the basement, after about 20 years. You'd have thought my brother and I would have thought to take the inside cover off the back of the main door, but no. So Joe and I took it off and we figured out the combo. We already had the key to the interior door and the tiny metal door inside the space in the main compartment, but the outer door was locked open. So now we can use it! For some reason that really tickles me. It's just cool to have a big old safe in the basement, with STUFF in it. Even if it's only Lady Death comic books. Maybe I'm just easily amused.
I think we're heading out to Halloween Nights tonight. Joe and I love going as much as the kids. MadCap puppet shows are great. There's a lot of stuff that we get that the kids don't, and they *Always* twist the fairy tales somehow and make them really funny. The admission price includes everything but food and drinks, stuff like that. There's a storyteller, magic show, puppet shows, a rock-climbing wall, hayride, a 'hardly haunted' barn, all sorts of stuff. I'm going to freeze my ass off, but oh well. It's worth it. Plus I have ass to spare.
