K, I'm bored now!

Did you know that there is nothing on TV all day long? Who's Line it is Anyway is on twice from 11-12, and that's about it. I tried to watch Spongebob, I really did, but I just couldn't do it. I'm having freaky dreams, and waking up in cold sweats and disoriented. But I'm slightly less dizzy. And monumentally bored. I'm going to school today to get all my stuff so I can at least grade things and read Hamlet. I hope you're all well. I don't know what to tell the sub to do with you tomorrow. Any ideas? If you give me something by tonight, I'll put it in the lesson plans. Just wanted to give you a few notes:

Connie: I miss you! I'm okay, and hope you're the same. Your brother Scott seems pretty cool, though he's quiet. I hope to draw out his weirdness this year and make it beneficial for all of us. Try not to let your psycho group get you down and give my love to your husband. (And not that I'm condoning any violence, but don't let Robert let Chris make fun of Ryan!)

Lauryn: You've been pretty emotional lately - don't worry so much (I really need to take my own advice - I'm freakin' myself out about being sick, and making things much worse than they need to be). I think you're pretty great, and I'm glad you're coming to visit me more after school. This could be the greatest time of your life, it you let it be!

Ruthlyn: I really like Jonathan. He's so intense, and so poetic and interesting. Kids were afraid of him in my class last year, they thought he was a Columbine type, but he seems far too sensitive and loving for that to me. I haven't yet read the poems he gave me the other day, but I will, and encourage him to keep letting me read his stuff. He has a sort of raw Poe-ish quality that really works well. I feel like I've hardly seen you this year, since our class is so darn huge, so come and visit me sometimes! And remember, you are also a very intense person - you scare your friends sometimes. Keep them posted about what's going on with you.

Ryan: I keep getting excited about your independent study (especially since Moulin Rouge has been on TV a lot the past few days). Did you know that Luhrmann is working on La Vie Boheme, and it's supposed to premier in California sometime and then maybe go to Broadway? I don't know any of the details, but it sounds pretty cool. PLEASE don't kill anyone in our class, just make them be good!

Maggie: I'm glad to hear about you and Clayton - you guys looked so cute when I saw you in front of the buses the other day! I miss your laugh and your style. And everytime I see Meghann in her brown plaid pants, I think of how cool you are and how she has to copy you. Oh, by the way, I've been wearing my favorite Beaker and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew T-shirt the whole time I'm sick, and thinking of you (even though the Muppets are so MINE)!

Megs: Thanks for giving me updates. I know its far too tempting to torture the sub, just don't make her go completely insane. It seems you're better than you were the last time we talked, I hope things continue to go well. Don't flip out about your B on your interim in my class - I'm sure it's only temporary. HA-HA, that's right! Meghann has a B, cuz I gave her an 88 on her paper! Poor Meghann. Actually, I'm not positive its a B, but you had one zero for one of my random "who's talking" journal checks - I didn't catch you talking - but SOMEONE did! I still love you, and you'll be fine. Hope b-ball is going well, and take care of your fellow hobbits. And tell Jacob Green hi and I miss him (I gave him an 88, too!)

For some reason, I thought there were 7 hobbits, and now I only seem to have written to six of you, so am I leaving someone out? I'm sorry if I am, I'm not quite sane yet. (Or at least, back to my normal self.)

-J
(MISS Jess to you, Ryan).
