"eventful" would be a pretty good way to put it...

15 Phenomenal Images of the Aurora Australis

nifty, indeed. :)

@ InFusion again. slept pretty well again last night (that's 2 nights in a row! w00t!) and woke up early. there's a new victim employee training today. i sort of want to give her a hug and wish that the force be with her. I'm *definitely* enjoying being on this side of the counter far more. speaking of which, i need some coffee. brb.

oooh, organic love buzz. i love they're brewing my favourite coffees. :) I have seen improvements in food safety and food storage, but I'm still steering clear of certain things.

::EXCLAMATIONZ OF GLEE:: I didn't miss Better Than Ezra! randomly remembered that they were supposed to be in town this month, and I just czeched ticketmaster. the show is next wednesday and tickets are only $22.50. i can just barely swing that. :D i should pop down to the Trocadero box office and see if I can grab a ticket today and avoid the surcharges. awesome!

speaking of which, I got some big evil planz coming up:

The Welsh Folklife Festival that was mentioned previously, and if i can get my passport reissued in time, I'm talking a roadtrip to Hamilton, Ontario on July 5th to see THORNLEY headline the It's Your Festival, which, *magnificently*, is being put on for free.

I didn't realize it's a <500 mi drive from here to there... the drives to FL and Ohio were far longer/more annoying than that. If I can get at least one other person to go with me (looking @ you, talkischeap) cause i know you have a passport) then the the trip will be pretty damn cheap. according to Triple AAA it should cost ~$180 for gas round trip. that's only slightly more than a plane ticket, and that can be split amongst whoever is going. I'm researching cheap, safe campgrounds for the night, and then we can head back the next day at our leisure. I'm kinda hoping Tyler would be up for it because he loves Canada and has been up around Toronto a bunch of times, but I'm not banking on it. I think he might be needing some space for a bit, and i know he's really busy. :/ come to think of it, the passport laws just changed, and I dunno if he has one... last time he was there you didn't need one to cross the border.

at any rate, here's hoping my tax refund (which is *finally* straightened out, 653 years later) gets here soon so i can pay for the new passport ASAP and pay off more of the electric bill.

and just so ya know... Thornley & Big Wreck (Ian Thornley's former band) have meant more to me than I can possibly ever express in words. for the past 12 years, this music is what i have turned to in the absolute worst times in my life. his music has lifted me up, helped me see wisdom and find healing in nearly incomprehensible situations, and inspired the writing of countless songs, lyrics, and random art projects i've done. and not to be horrifically emo, but it has literally been the one thing that's gotten through my head and reminded me that life was worth living, at times when i seriously wondered if i'd be better off dead.

I wrote him a letter once, about 2 years ago... the original of which is lost, to the best of my knowledge. I ought to log into myspace one of these years and investigate that. nonetheless, Ian Thornley wrote me back, and i flipped major shit about it for about 3 solid weeks. :D
