This IM convo between me and Steve today, while I was figuring out a tricky database problem.

ME: so I have this image of releasing a new piece of software....
HIM: It's pretty unspectacular.
ME: holding your new program in your hands, like a bird, and gently releasing it - giving
a little toss to leaunch it
HIM: Nothing like it.
ME: then watching hopefully to see if it flies off to blend with the world
HIM: What did you have for lunch?
ME: or gets caught by a hawk.
HIM: *SNORT*
HIM: Glad I wasn't drinking something!
