Fibery Goodness!
OMG! This giant box of fiber arrived in the mail today!
See, awhile back, the hostess of one of the forums I participate in on Ravelry suffered serious storm damage due to the fierce spring storms that clobbered Southern Illinois early in May. She had a very good impression of the Red Cross and wanted to raise some money for their disaster services as a thank you. Well, this lady runs a service for independent fiber artists by offering a monthly sample box of their wares, so she asked for contributions to a super big version of the box and offered the box as a raffle prize, with entries being donations to the Red Cross.
So I made my donation and "bought" several raffle tickets.
Who knew? I actually won the thing - and it arrived in the mail today!
Miss R was very interested in Mommy's box!
Here it is, all spilled out on the dining room table!
These are sample sized skeins of yarn and of fiber for hand spinning, plus accessories and even jewelry! Some were even full-sized skeins. I can't wait to start spinning!
