So today I found out the administrator here at Faulkner gave her two weeks notice, which explains why she hasn't been answering any of my e-mails. Which means we're going to get a new administrator, which always shakes things up: whoever heads this place, their philosophy shapes how we do our job here. Hopefully the evening administrator will get the job: she's this awesome, hard-working woman who truly cares about the clients AND can do her job. She's often here late so she can get everything she needs to done, and she doesn't hide much: she's always been straight with us about hiring people, etc. If she gets it, I will be seriously stoked, I think she'll be great for the facility.
If she does, though, then that leaves her position open. I don't know if they'll ask people here to apply, or other peopel in the facility, and whether people who apply need to be a QMHP (Master's degree as opposed to a QMHA, which I am, which means Bachelor's degree), but if they do open apps, I think I will apply. It will mean moving into admin again, which I said I wanted to avoid, but working under Lark would be okay, I think. It would also move me to evening hours so I could actually see people sometimes, and not just weekends. And it would be nice to have some say in how our facility is run. Lots more work, but I'm willing to do it. Of course, this is predicated on a lot of big ifs. IF they don't just offer it to Nhu, our evening QMHP. IF they want people in our facility. IF it doesn't have to be a QMHP. And biggest of all, IF they'd accept someone like me - pierced, tattooed, dyed, not good at the political game at all, and young-looking.
But I figure it's worth a shot. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
