Try Nature's Miracle on the brown upchuck stains. Then let dry and work on it with whatever else you usually use to clean the carpet. That usually works for us. Not always. Some stains resist utterly.
We were also recommended some other stuff when Leela went on the Advil-induced vomiting fit. That worked like a charm, even on the stains that defeated NM. I'll try to find where I stashed that recommendation and get it to you.
