It has just been pointed out by Mpanther, Mistletoeelf and I have not updated our friends on my situation. The surgery went well, I didn't heal quite right, but of that in a minute. The two lymph nodes they cut out were the biggest, brightest ones on the PET scan. The largest turned out to be a happy, healthy lymph node, just doing it's job. The smaller of the two did have some of the original cancer in it. That was expected, there is limited metastisis throughout my abdomin. The good news in this is that I, and my Dr., were wrong. There is only one type of cancer. This means we stick to the treatment for another round and keep fighting. The bad news is that I didn't heal properly, leaving a huge hole in my belly. A home health nurse is coming in every day to stuff the hole with gauze and cover it while it heals. I can't go back to work like this, and I am going stir crazy rattling around in this house.
