Okay, by popular request (of 1 person, who I didn't even know was ON livejournal)So, I was drinking at the bar when my friend and co-worker Sting was working (he helped me get the job). It was close to 1:30 and everyone was gone except for about 5 of us (the Irregulars, we call ourselves). At any rate, Teri, the Karoke DJ, called all the guys to come up and sing, and Sting came up and sang with us. About halfway through the song, the boss showed up and Sting ran behind the bar, because he doesn't like us to sing when we're on shift. So he starts yelling at Sting, and everyone leaves, except me, who starts the bar-closing rituals, he tells Sting to go home and he'll "call him in a few days about maybe getting (his) job back". Sting asks him if he wants the keys. He says yes, and Sting leaves. I tried to politely reason with the boss, explaining that Sting was a good worker, and had done everything ever asked of him for over 2 years, always on time, almost never called in sick, whereas the new girl we had hired had no-call-no-showed because she "didn't know it was Tuesday" and she hadn't been fired. He kept being an ass about it, so I told him if he didn't trust Sting, he didn't trust me and gave him my keys too and left. The next day, Sting got his job back and my check was in the drawer.
Anyways, in other news, I started at UPS Teleservices last monday, and it's going great. Good pay, great classmates/co-workers. On the bad side, it's a day job, M-F. I haven't had weekends off in so long, I don't know what to do with myself. Also, no more late nights for me with all my friends around here.
At anyrate, I've gotta go, I'm on my roommate's computer and he wants to use it right now.
